It’s definitely interesting
Okay, so I put off watching this honestly because every trailer seemed boring. Tonight, out of pure desperation for something new to watch, I broke down and decided to try it. You know what, I’m glad I did.
The biggest drawback is the pacing so far
The acting is decent, the world is solid, and there are some very dynamic characters. The first episode really drags along right up until the very end, but I’m not gonna lie the ending was good. My only concern is that this might have the same problem that the rings of power have.
Only time will tell
A lot of build up with a lack of delivery. I’ll update this once I’m able to complete the series in it’s entirety.

Nice, interesting thriller show. I’m pretty impatient with series, if they don’t grab my attention in the first few minutes, I give up, however I ended up watching this series in one evening. The plot is basically the reality of what’s happening in this part of the world today, racism, gun crime, etc. I would say the main problem with this show is that it drags on too long, if it was made as a movie or with 4 eps max, it would have been perfect. But in the middle it started to drag and I felt like there were a lot of unnecessary and unrelated scenes that we could have done without. But overall it’s worth watching.

This is an excellent and challenging film, but I think it may be challenging for some from the Irish and Northern Irish communities – I don’t. I should also add that it is not for those who find the idea of copious drug use/references and strong language offensive – if you are one of those people, don’t watch this.
The music is excellent, whether you understand Irish or not (I don’t)
You do need to be a little familiar with the history of the Troubles etc, but this film is watchable without that – it is a gritty story about struggle and music, and is almost a really fast-paced, more political re-imagining of commitments – for a modern audience. One of the reasons I went was because I heard some of the Kneecap songs and really liked them – I’m in my mid-60s, so this isn’t just for the younger crowd.
The story, acting, direction and script are all really enjoyable and ultimately uplifting
