Miller is denied entry to Hitler’s apartment because it is “reserved for officers”

The story of American photographer Lee Miller, a model turned acclaimed war correspondent for Vogue magazine during World War II. The production was granted full access to Lee Miller’s archives, with the full cooperation and trust of Miller’s family. War correspondents were given the rank of captain, so technically the American military guard should have granted him entry.

The credits include explanations of what happened and some of Lee’s original photos, often alongside those that were recreated for the film. I’ve read some reviews that seem rather dismissive of Lee’s scope and importance.

But if you know about the limited freedoms of women in this era, you will totally appreciate the audacity and productivity on display here. Lee was driven by personal trauma to do good with her hard-fought freedom to operate in a man’s world. Lee has all the period clothing and historical accuracy, no small feat, while also showing the determination it took to access the last Nazi front of World War II.

But in this case, surviving seems to permanently affect how one accomplishes such an important task

It was Lee’s undeniably courageous journey that brought back into history the unmistakable evidence and testimony of an evil place. Knowing that you can’t help but see certain things in person gives you empathy for the cost of photojournalism. Many are martyred in the pursuit of their work while incarcerated or held hostage in authoritarian regimes.

The Count of Monte Cristo is the most expensive in 2024. When you watch the French film Albert Hydee sing and play the guitar, it is very clear that she does not touch a string half the time.

In my opinion, the eyes

I will not deny, I think the film is really beautiful: the production design, the costumes, the props… and of course the lighting (congratulations to Mr. Bolduc) and many other little things helped to make it a wonderful experience.

.Now, when the plot is as big as Dumas, with so many characters, topics, narratives and the like, the authors often had to cut, adapt, rewrite as needed or critically. It’s a given. But why would the original author’s choice of the general unfairness, his helping so many people and his unwavering loyalty to everyone who is good or somehow deserving of him be exchanged for a stupid love affair?

and what are we left with here?

The book’s insight into Monte Cristo’s actions and why she can be saved and why Albert must follow her is fascinating… Pure spectacle? I can assure you that’s not what you’ll be left with when you read it.

Special Ops: Lioness had me hooked from the first episode

This is the next great series from the brainchild of Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, 1923, 1883, Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, etc.). I would watch this series if I didn’t know anything more than that Sheridan created it.

Zoe Saldana, Morgan Freeman, Nicole Kidman, Michael Kelly, Leisla De Oliveira, etc

Then add the fact that it has a whole host of star power… While it’s not Sheridan’s best show, it is; it’s still a lot of fun and worth watching.

Yes, some of it is amazing, but if you can just turn your brain off and enjoy it for what it is, you’ll have a great time watching this

The only downside so far is that you have to wait a week between episodes, I prefer when they release the whole season at once so you can binge watch it.

Essentially, they manage the land and secure leases so they can drill for oil and gas

Typically, a landman’s job is to negotiate and finalize agreements with landowners who have mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, worker housing (a human camp), set up drilling equipment, and drill the well itself, especially in remote locations.

They are also part fixer, problem solver, and facilitator. So far, the show is good very good, one feeling I can’t shake is daughter.

The shower scene, talking about having sex with her dad, showing her butt!

On the show they claim their daughter is 17 and then proceed to sexualize her in extreme ways! All of these scenes have 0 to do with the storyline and make it uncomfortable to watch.

I wish they would rewrite her charter and have no idea how this got through to the editors

I get what they are doing with the character, the daughter is going down the wrong path and her dad is going to set her on the right path. Could have easily been avoided by just stating she is 18, you can be 18 and still be in high school!

This scheme of an aging hitman or gangster or cop, a character who lives his last moments on this earth, this scheme is not new, it has been told hundreds of times before, but this diminishes nothing to the efficiency of this movie. Me, I like this movie, this kind of story. Liam Neeson has made and will make more films like this one in the future.

He has no more choice

This plot and main character reminds me of Craig Fairbrass in THE VILLAIN (2020).
