Media expert Muncie Daniels must fight for his innocence and his life after he stumbles upon a murder deep in the Poconos.. Colman Domingo’s first leading role.. There are many elements of this series that are well done. But I felt it was an odd one. There were so many things about the writing, directing, and acting that felt awkward. Embarrassingly so at times. Some of the dialogue seemed so sketchy and so unpolished that I was left shaking my head. It made the relationships in the story feel incomplete and lacking in depth. I feel like I should have warmed up to a lot of the characters, but I didn’t understand the techniques for making the audience uneasy, but this is different. If it was intentional, it failed in execution. If this is a new style of filmmaking, I hope it passes.
