A Festa do Santo Reis Written by Léo Maia (Marcio Leonardona) Performed by Tim Maia
"I’m Still Here" is a powerful portrayal of a moment in Brazilian history that traumatizes many people. In a well-constructed atmosphere, the viewer steps into the country’s past, a past that the country itself denies and ignores, and this makes the experience of watching "I’m Still Here" in a cinema in Brazil even more powerful.
Among all the Brazilian filmmakers, Walter Salles stands out with his talented direction and interesting photography, and the production is truly impressive
The actors are talented and I want to highlight the younger actors who certainly give the film a touch of depth and beauty that is needed to make us feel the “magic of cinema”. As for the kind human side that appears in “I’m Still Here”, it is great to see a film by a filmmaker who really understands cinema, who does not present alienated ideas, but pure and genuine human expression.
Beautiful film, beautiful message and beautiful performances
As a Brazilian, I of course support Walter Salles’ Oscar nomination, but I think the goal of getting national cinema talked about again has already been achieved.
