On his remote mountain trek, he seeks fulfillment
Amber, a happiness agent, travels the Himalayas in Bhutan to investigate people’s happiness. I watched this at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.
Explores interesting cultural aspects and delves into the human spirit, with great conversations between key peers
Bhutanese culture is rarely discussed in the media and overall this documentary is a charming, sweet and interesting exploration of the happiness levels of Bhutanese citizens. Filmmakers Arun Bhattarai and Dorottya Zurbo capture the true essence of the Bhutanese way of life and deliver truly entertaining and poignant interviews, discussions and camerawork.
Including the singing, dancing, dialogues and all
Many of the discussions between Bhutanese peers are interesting as are the discussions about their culture. , struggles and self were interesting to listen to.
I recommend it to those interested in Bhutanese culture
Being the first Sundance film of the festival, what a great start!
